After we fit your new tyres what happens to my old ones?
How does a tyre giant like R-Tec set about reducing the size of its carbon footprint?
Although most tyres are disposed of properly by responsible individuals and companies, there are still some people who choose to dump their tyres illegally in the countryside, particularly as the removal and disposal of old tyres usually involves a small fee. Dumping tyres illegally is not only harmful to the environment; it is also unfair on the others who choose to dispose of their old tyres in the proper manner.
By using an environmentally friendly disposal process we are helping to reduce our carbon footprint, R-Tec only uses fully certified registered members of the TRA and insured tyre recycling companies to help with the best disposal possible.
R-Tec Auto Design are one of the UK's leading alloy wheel and tyre stores
R-Tec's wheel store is based in St Albans Hertfordshire. For over 10 years we have been fitting wheels and tyres on customers vehicles, from 14 inch alloy wheels on mini's to 30 inch wheels on H2 Hummers. We have the knowledge when it comes to wheels and tyres. If you are unsure what tyre size you should have on your vehicle, or if you wish to up-size your wheels to a different offset, profile and size we can help. We will be able to tell you what is available in your stud-pattern, which wheels will clear your calipers (known as the wheel x-factor) and what wheels would be ok for clearance. We can even advise if you would require wheel spacers or even wheel arch modifications (such as arch rolling).
